The sources used to learn about this story state that a man named Jesus Sanchez Llovera is pressing charges against Steven Seagal and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio claiming that they killed his family dog. Seagal and the Sheriff both deny that incident took place during the raiding of Llovera's home. Sherri Arpaio says that if it were true at all there would be pictures to prove it with all the film crew there for the "Steven Seagal: Lawman" TV show. Not only did Llovera not have physical evidence but also waited five months after the raid to press charges.
It sounds to me that this Llovera guy is embarrassed about his publicly viewed home invasion by the Maricopa County police department, and now he's just making any excuse he can to try to get money out of Seagal. Everyone knows he is a very wealthy man and Llovera thinks he has a believable claim, but to press charges a whole five months later is a little suspicious to me.
We hear stupid stories like this all the time about people suing celebrities for random and ludicrous reasons. With all the failure you would think people would quit and just go out and make hard earned money like everyone else has to. People are becoming more and more lazy these days and it just really irks me that they expect to get through life that way.
I agree with you. I believe that this modern society has become all together to “Sue happy”. I know if it were my beloved pet that was killed, it would not have taken me five months to react. But, we all know that officers can be intimidating, even ones who were once famous movie starts. We also know that “reality shows” only broadcasts what would make good television and raise the shows ratings. Killing a dog, probably wouldn’t do much for ratings and could easily be taped over. Just throwing it out there.
